~The
Charlotte Folk Society!~
The Charlotte Folk Society
gatherings are moving to The Great Aunt Stella Center. After
26 years of holding monthly concerts and jam sessions on the Central CPCC
Campus, the Charlotte Folk Society was compelled to move when attendance outgrew
venue capacity. The Great Aunt Stella Center, a beloved downtown landmark, was
originally designed as a church. The former sanctuary offers a beautiful
performance space with great acoustics and seating for 400. Ample surface
parking is available adjacent to the Stella Center, with complimentary parking
available after 7 PM in a nearby parking deck. Visit www.folksociety.org for details.
~Earth
Xstasy Entertainment~
No Second Troy- blends pop rock hooks of bands like
Coldplay, Snow Patrol, The Fray w/ unique indie rock arrangements.

modern pop w/a classic soul, evoking the top 40's best guitar players like John
Mayer and Maroon 5. They've opened for Chris Daughtry and Switchfoot, received
the listeners choice awards for CMT, and placed 5th in Singers of the
Universe.
HuDost- alternative world music,

"So,
in order to find who else is playing where, look where we always look. It's the
Charlotte Events Calendar, lovingly compiled by our friend Laurie. I'm
certainly way past due in giving credit to Laurie for all that she does for the
Charlotte music community!"
Dave Holtzclaw
