“Starred forget-me-nots smile sweetly,
Ring,
bluebells, ring! Winning eye and heart completely, Sing, robin,

Contests:
***Congratulations to - Shakori Hills 1 Day Pass winners Kristin & Patty!
Kristin: "Shakori Hills Grassroots was my first ever festival -- and has since been my favorite! I remember driving up to Pittsboro from Wilmington a week early to set up camp and volunteer pre-festival; I couldn't have been more excited for the adventure. Then the skies opened up and it poured. It was many degrees colder than expected and rainy! Everything inside and out of the tent was soaked, everything was cold. I probably made eight trips to town within the few days leading up to the start of Grassroots, buying new boots, sleeping bags, and rain coats! Despite all of this, everyone's spirits were high; we all had hopes for sun, but we were ready to boogie no matter! Thursday presented more rain, yet the music echoed through the campgrounds, folks smiled and danced, and Shakori Hills was off to a wonderful, well earned start! A couple of rainy days later, folks gathered in front of the Meadow Stage for Sunny Weather -- and, I kid you not!, the sun came out when they played!
Patty:
Hi, We
recently brought some friends from out of town to Comet Grill, where
we saw
the weekly Red Rocking Chair show. My husband and I are big
fans and also
love them all individually...but these out-of-towners were in AWE that
they
were there every week... simply for the love of music and because they
love
playing together! What a Phenomenal show and Down to Earth Guys! We
have been
encouraging everyone to check them out on Tuesday nights and not to
take
it for granted that we have such talented, amazing musicians at
our favorite local watering hole! In MRH's words:" Be Happy"
