IMPORTANT NOTICE
Unfortunately, and fortunately, times have changed, and the hours spent and the cost to maintain this newsletter has increased dramatically, but the reciprocal support has not. Each week the newsletter now gets distributed to thousands of readers via email, websites, blogs, twitter and Facebook accounts, as well as mobile devices. It is typically the #1 blog that appears in search engines when searching for Live Music in Charlotte. However, without your help, I will not be able to continue the newsletter in this way. Your assistance is greatly needed. Please consider donating to the cause so I can continue to help support, recommend and promote this growing music scene, your events and your growing interest in live music in Charlotte.
THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO HAVE COME FORWARD TO HELP KEEP THIS NEWSLETTER AND MY PASSION FOR SUPPORTING THIS MUSIC SCENE, AND BEYOND, ALIVE!
If you have benefited from either subscribing to this newsletter, or being listed and promoted by it, please consider a donation to help support it.
(Be sure to read/scroll to the end of the newsletter for special announcements and band news.)

"it's nice you get recognized once in a while for all you do for the music scene, local & otherwise. i've always been proud of you and have always appreciated the fact that you were ever an encouraging presence like all those times the beatdukes played the east bd. starbux. those were fine times, my friends, not soon forgotten!!"

"Laurie, As I go to check my e-mail, 9 out of 10 times Ihave an e-mail from you informing me about the events in the surrounding area. I must say that I appreciate and respect your work as a promoter, simply for the love of music, with my fullest capability. The Avett Brothers work everyday from the time we wake until the time we sleep. I never stop and doubt I will ever be able to. Musicians and artist can go months without paychecks and never even consider another line of work. I know this because it is how I live as an artist and musician. My point is this.....THANK YOU. You are the kind of force that musicians and artist need. One who loves it regardless and does everything that they can to keep it alive. That is how we feel. Thanks, Sincerely - The Avett Brothers Scott Avett" (2003)
Thank you to those who have reciprocated links or shown appreciation or have supported me in some way throughout the years. This weekly newsletter not only takes many, many hours to compile, distribute, blog and promote, but also costs a monthly fee. As many have shared with me, it's both a valuable resource, and a treasured promotional tool. I started it, (in 2003), as a service to my musician clients and friends who, at the time, had few ways of promoting their shows, or a publication that would have an interest in writing about, or even listing their independent shows. It has grown since then to include much more, but its purpose remains the same - not to be a comprehensive list, but a way to help promote and advertise those artists and venues I'm familiar enough with to personally recommend, and whom I feel may need, and appreciate, what I do.
